MSc 1/2 Spring 2011

Our MSc 1/2 programme offers two studios. Living+ deals with the issue of programmatic complexity and flexibility, while Reset/Restore looks into the issue of new possibilities for a quintessential relic of post-war housing in the Netherlands. Parallel to the studios two MSc 1 seminars are given: Architectural Studies and Architectural Reflections. Although not obligatory it is recommended to enrol these seminars too, since the analysis of projects and texts undertaken by students is in service of the design assignment.

Studio and seminars form the core of the MSc 1 semester. In addition a lectures series on current, theoretical issues ofArchitectural Design is organised by the chairs of the Architecture Department. Finally, there are a History lecture series, plus two technical exercises, the latter of which is integrated in the studio work.
Please note: students can also enroll the MSc 1 studios as part of the MSc 2 electives programme.
